Canada Express Entry is a merit-based online system designed by the Canadian Government to manage the permanent residence (PR) applications of skilled workers from around the world.
In the Express Entry system, interested candidates need to submit an online profile. Then, the eligibility of the candidate is evaluated based on the submitted online profile, and eligible candidates are accepted into the Express Entry pool.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the criteria for at least one of the following Express Entry streams:

Candidates in the pool are ranked with a point-based system that is called Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Candidates earn points for many factors, including but not limited to age, language skills, education, and work experience.
Canada regularly draws the highest-ranking candidates out of the pool and sends them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Invited applicants need to submit their permanent resident applications within a certain amount of time after receiving the ITA.
Express Entry applicants can also add some of their family members to their PR application as an accompanying family member.
Every step of this process is connected; therefore, candidates should be very careful from the very beginning while creating their online Express Entry profiles.
